This User's Manual is designed to help you get started using Data Entrée's Foodservice Distribution Software (hereafter referred to as "The Application"). It is divided into three major sections: Pricing: The Essential Starting Point, Setting Everything Up and Using The Application.

In Section I - Pricing: The Essential Starting Point, we will look closely and in detail at the various pricing options afforded by The Application. It is important that all these options be fully understood and considered before you begin setting up the basic master files.

In Section II - Setting Everything Up, you will be guided through the input forms you will use to create the master files necessary to prepare The Application for use. This section focuses on the various input forms you will find under the File Maintenance menu option in The Application. The data entered in these forms will tell The Application what it needs to know about your business, your customers and your vendors. Depending on the type of accounting system from which you are migrating, some of this information may have already been uploaded into The Application. Any data that cannot be transferred to The Application electronically will need to be entered manually by keying the data into these input forms.

After the initial setup, the input forms introduced in Section II will still be used on occasion when the master files need to be updated (e.g., when new customers need to be added, old vendors need to be deactivated, addresses change, etc.).

In Section III - Using The Application, you will be introduced to the various forms, inquiries and reports you will be using in the daily conduct of your business. This section explores the functionality you will find under the Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Reports and Inquiries menu options.

It is hoped that this Manual, supplemented by training and support from Data Entrée's staff, will help you get up and running in short order. You have purchased what is undoubtedly the best software available to foodservice distributors, and we want you to begin reaping the benefits of our solution as quickly as possible. So let us begin.
